Washington DC - April 28, 2007

Protest organizer George Ripley planned (and hoped) for 1,000 people to fill in a meticulously laid out template that would spell "IMPEACH!" on a giant scale. The human-formed demand would be photographed from the top of the Washington Monument. Only about 150 protesters showed up. Disappointed but undaunted, Ripley displayed his organizational skills as he rearranged everyone to spell "IMPEACH!" on a smaller scale.

The DC event helped launch "Impeachment Summer" with a day of pro-impeachment events in more than 125 locations across the U.S.
